Just the fact that this book exists makes me happy. The bedtime story theme is so sweet in the movie, and having this as a tie-in is a lot of fun.
There is NOT a little brush that comes out of the book, like in the movie, but it's still a lot of fun. The little kitties are finger puppets like in the movie.
And even though it's supposed to be the epitome of an awful bedtime story, in truth, kids often like the simple stories that we adults find to be drivel, and I was surprised to agree that it makes a fairly good bedtime story that my son enjoyed.

My daughter is thrilled that this is like the book in the movie. She enjoys me reading it to her and then "reading" it to me too!
I like the book too, but I wish it was as nice as the one in the movie. This book doesn't have the three large holes and nice sock kittens for your fingers. The kittens on this book are made from some sort of cheap material that I don't believe will hold up if this becomes a favorite of your child's - and I believe it will - it's already a favorite of my daughter, Serenity. It was a little difficult to maneuver the puppets too and Serenity had a little bit of a hard time getting her fingers in the puppets.
It also doesn't have the little brush like the book in the movie did. Not a big deal, but Serenity did ask about it. We used our finger and pretended to brush their hair.
In all it's a very cute book - and a wonderful little bedtime story, but I wish it was the nicer spiral-bound board book that was in the movie.
Maybe that book will be released later on?

This is the exact book from the movie, the only disappointment was the there was no brush to brush the sleepy kittens, as in the movie. other that that the illustrations and words matched despicable me.

Love this book. It's extremely cute, and kids who have seen the movie get very excited to see this book exists. Just buy a little Barbie brush separately as well, since one doesn't come included even though one is shown in Despicable Me. One star lost because the makers thought that children wouldn't care about the missing brush, but still a good buy.

This book was popularized by the film "Despicable Me" and it is great. Bought it for my girlfriend who LOVES the movie. She has me read it to her some nights just the fact its funny that Gru read it to the three little girls. It is much like the movie, but as others stated there is no brush, not that I was really expecting one, and other slight alterations. Still very funny and extremely enjoyable.
