Georgette Heyer was an English historical romance novelist.

Heyer essentially established the historical romance genre and its subgenre Regency romance. Her Regencies were inspired by Jane Austen, but unlike Austen, who described the times in which she lived, Heyer was forced to include copious information about the period so that her readers would understand the setting. To ensure accuracy, Heyer collected reference works and kept detailed notes on all aspects of Regency life.

The Black Moth: A Romance of the XVIII Century is a Georgian (set around 1751) romance novel.

It tells the story of Jack Carstares, oldest son of the Earl Wyncham, disgraced six years earlier, who returns home and becomes a highwayman so that he is able to live in the land he loves without detection.

One day while out riding he foils an abduction plot mastered by the infamous Duke of Andover. Injured while rescuing the damsel in distress, he is taken home by the thankful Diana Beauleigh and her Aunt Betty, to recover. Mystery and intrigue continue to the melodrama's end...

This volume includes:
Romance Story One: The Black Moth, a Romance of the 18th Century
The classic romance by acclaimed author, Georgette Heyer. Jack Carstares, disgraced eldest son of the Earl Wyncham, returns home in secret to live as a highwayman, the only way he can remain in the land he loves. Injured while foiling the abduction of beautiful Diana Beauleigh by the infamous Duke of Andover, Jack is taken in by Diana's Aunt Betty, and his recovery is surrounded by mystery and intrigue. Several love stories unravel at once, and the introductions of Fanny and Lavinia are sheer narrative genius. The book is highly engaging and completely satisfying for all who love a good old-fashioned epic romance.

Romance Story Two: The Merrow
A short-short romance story by author, T. S. Greer. A man searches for his love…

Romance Story Three: Just Enough Room for Romance!
A short romance story by author, Annabelle Sinclair. It’s 1951 and Joanne has found the perfect apartment. But will the neighborhood rules allow it?

Romance Story Four: Beyond The Rocks, A Love Story
A romance book by celebrated author Elinor Glyn. A young girl who is sold into a high society marriage and knows nothing of love until she meets a dashing philanderer…

Romance Story Five: Love Makes You Tongue-Tied!
A short romance story by author, Annabelle Sinclair. It’s the early 1950’s and Lola is having a problem with her professor. Can she find a way to pass the class and find love?

Wnderful, well-written thrilling and vigorous novels. A must-have for classic epic romance fans!
