Dangit it really works! March 21, 2008 B. Rike (Dayton, OH) 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
I really didn't want this to work so I could get brand new carpet under the manufacturers warranty. The first time I used it I didn't think it worked...I got it off ebay and the sprayer was a joke so I had to get a new bottle. I thought this left grease looking stains on the carpet and I called the Co. Mister Max and they said that's never happen in all the years they've been making this. So, I got a really good spray bottle and mixed it with a little water. Sprayed it on all the spots and in the morning I had my husband walk in the room (which he is normally bowled over with the cat pee smell and fusses about it) and I asked "well, does it smell?" and he said wow no it doesn't, laid on the floor and said " what did you do?!?!"
I spent so much on feliway diffusers and I think that's a waste of money for my cats and I will have to keep up with the comfort zone spray (that's the only thing that works) and the anti icky poo because it totally takes away the smell! Use a black light when you're doing the treatment.
Miracle Cleaner October 6, 2008 Christopher Conklin (Long Island, NY) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
If you have pets, then you HAVE to get this stuff. The name sounds stupid but it works wonders. Cats in particular will continue to pee or mark areas where they have gone before. Even when we cannot smell the urine, they can and they will pee there again. This stuff is an enzymic cleaner, so it completely eliminates the smell. Originally we were using white vinegar (a natural and pet safe way to disinfect and clean.. and a quarter of the price of regular cleaning solutions). However, the vinegar worked only worked so well. Cats have a much stronger sense of smell and would return to pee on the same spot. Now that we have the anti icky poo (and we use Feliway afterwards to prevent future incidents) things have been so much better.
Also, as a side note, I found this stuff works great with my sparring gear as well. When training the gear gets really nasty from all the sweating and I have found that even putting it through the washing machine didn't fully eliminate the smell. Stinky sparring gear is not only nasty to wear, but it's not cool for your training partners either. Well, one day I figured I'd try the anti icky poo on my gear and it worked better than anything else I've tried in the past. They sell all sorts of expensive cleaners specifically for sparring gear and they don't work half as well (I won't name which ones I've tried). It even gets the smell of smoke out of your clothes too. Definitely worth having a bottle in the house at all times.
Whew!!! The Smell is Gone!!! October 17, 2007 Wild About Books (Florida) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
We love our Mr. Buddy, but he is a male, who likes to mark his territory in our formal dining room! Why? We don't know.....but after trying the Anti-Icky Poo, the smell is completely gone from our carpet!!! Try this product, you will not be disappointed!!!
It works! March 19, 2008 J. (Broomall, Pa) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have two male cats. They don't mark their territory. But there's one that suffers from a weakened poop wall and about once every three months he likes to go upstairs rather than in his litter box. I use the spot bot and then spray it with anti-ick-poo. The smell disappears. It's great. You would never know we had cats. I also use it when they are sick and end up going. You'd be surprised how the smell goes away. I must say I haven't really used it for more than one urinated spot its just on messy poops. I'm lucky in that respect. It does have a slightly strong chemical smell but it fades. Great product.
I was skeptical, but it really does work! February 15, 2010 Shannon (Davis, US, Canada) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We have a crazy cat who suddenly decided to start peeing on the couch because we didn't let her out when she wanted to go out one day... Anyways, there was no good way to get out the smell (I could wash the cover, but not the foam inside) so I decided to buy this based on the positive reviews.
It worked wonderfully. I sprayed the cover and let it sit before washing it (I washed it because I figured a double dose of cleaning couldn't hurt!), then soaked the foam in spray. After the spray dried there was no hint of cat pee smell. (The microsuede cover didn't have any discoloring or staining from the spray either.) There was also a fleece sweatshirt on the couch during the pee incident. I washed it once normally (thinking detergent would be enough) but it still reeked; however, after a good spray of Icky-poo the smell was gone.
A note for people sensitive to chemicals: the spray itself does have a strong smell (not a bad smell really, just strong) but the smell goes away after it dries.
Overall, I can't recommend this enough if you have cat pee problems!
